Popcorn popping on the apricot tree!

After my race we drove over to the National Mall and checked out the amazing Cherry Blossoms! We seriously live in a beautiful world. In one week's time I was amazed at how DC changed. The blossoms literally bloomed overnight!

As part of the festival they have kite flying by the Washington Monument. It was crazy how many kites dotted the sky. Enlarge the picture to see.

Pretty sweet lizard flying high!
Shark, diver and little fish.

The gorgeous blossoms over by the Jefferson Memorial.

As a side note from all the awesomeness, I can't even tell you how many people had our stroller down in DC yesterday. We met up with our friends the Huff's and they have our stroller in red. Well we probably saw 4 other red ones there, plus a ton of each of the other colors. What can I say, when it's the best - you gotta have it!

Beautiful! I do love your stroller. I have been meaning to ask what brand it is. Congrats on the half-marathon. That is a lot of work.

Congrats, Lisa! That is so wonderful and impressive! DC (and Maryland, too) can be such an exciting place, and very beautiful as well. The blossom photos look great!

Great job Lisa! All that talent and an athlete too. The tree's are gorgeous. We never seemed to catch it when they were in full bloom.

props to you on the half marathon...maybe someday...but i do have your back on never doing a full one...why run it when you can drive it in 20 minutes right?? I'll have to see what you did to train for your half and see if i have to motivation to maybe do one...might just stick to running on the treadmill in front of the boob tube... Gorgeous flowers though! Utah has tons of pretty suff, but there are still things back there that even utah will never have...
p.s...mackays brother got engaged and GUESS who the band is at the wedding! =) go Ken Foster Trio!

Congrats on the run! How did you guys get a picture under the trees with no people in it?! We were there later in the afternoon and there were people EVERYWHERE! It was worse than Disneyland on a busy day!

Aren't the cherry blossoms amazing!?! And how cool to run the race right there in DC! You make me want to run more often (and longer)! We can't wait to visit you and see the East Coast again!
