Halloween 2011

I'm behind on blogging again, but, it's better late than never! This year we were going to do a family theme of Peter Pan, but that didn't end up happening. Aubrey did get to be Tinkerbell and I did make her costume. It turned out really cute. We had the fairy wings already and they light up too. She loved it and now has another dress up to play with.
Tucker really wanted to be a bat. Not batman, just a bat. I was telling my Dad this one day at piano lessons and low and behold, he had these awesome bat wings. Perfect! We bought a black sweatshirt, pants and hat at WalMart and there you have it - a bat. Tucker added the black glasses and ears himself.
Our family. Cody grew out his beard to be a lumberjack. I am an actual pirate, not a pretend hooker.
Kristin and Chris. I'm guessing nerdy girl and jock?!
 Jaron, Angie and Winston
I made Aubrey a fleece headband and shawl to wear while trick-or-treating too.
This is what my man would look like with a full head of brown hair. It's crazy that it matched his beard because Cody is a definite blond.
We invited Cody's and my family up for Halloween dinner and trick or treating. From left to right we have Cole (pirate), Aubrey, Blake (cowboy), Winston (pirate), Ethan (alligator) and bat Tucker.

This is how we do it. Riding in the back of the truck.

The Good, the Bad, and the Guilty

Cody and I hosted a How to Host a Murder party on October 28th. We invited some of our neighbors and friends and had quite the fun night. The game was the Good, the Bad and the Guilty. Basically a western theme. While deciding which characters to give to our guests I thought it wouldn't be very nice to give one of the girls the hooker role, so that's what I became, except since I am very non hookerish, I looked more like a pirate. Yes, I am wearing a pirate costume, but I do have fishnets on and my hooker boots! If you are interested in playing the game, you can buy it off me on KSL classifieds. : ) I purchased it from KSL and now that we've played it, we are ready to pass it on.

As you can tell from the pictures, we've got some friends that got very into their roles. The local thrift store gave this guy his leather attire and snakeskin boots for quite the steal!

New cousin and pumpkins

My brother's wife had her 5th baby back in October. We were able to drop by the hospital a few hours after little Addyson was born. The kids loved to hold her and kept commenting on how small her head was.
Later that night, for family night we carved our pumpkins. You should be able to tell, but we have a ghost, butterfly and a bat. Good stuff!
