Last Friday Cody and I drove down to Sandy to drop our kids off at his Mom's so that we could go to the temple. To our surprise, Cody's brothers family was there! We thought they were driving in on Sunday, but they decided to leave the night before and drove throughout the night all the way from Seattle! We left the kids with the cousins and ran to the temple and then spent the day with them. Sunday night Carson's family came up and the kids had a big sleepover in the living room.
Memorial Day morning we all went to Midway's town breakfast. I thought it was free for some reason, but it wasn't. It was $5 a person. The breakfast was good though, and my kids shared a plate so it wasn't as expensive as I thought it would be.
The kids played outside and we played games during the day. Cole loves Mickey (Cody's dad) and Mickey loves Cole and so he followed him around all day and pushed him on a bike. Cole was in heaven!
Yesterday we spent some time with the cousins as well and this morning Carson and Marisa picked up our sandbox sand and I watched the kids while they ran some errands. The sandbox is a huge hit! I know it will be a dirty summer, but I love having something in the yard that the kids play with. Maybe next year we'll get a swing set, but for now, living in an awesome circle and having a sandbox is great!
