Why Dentistry is the Coolest Profession

How many other jobs do you know of that can create such life changing experiences as this? We had a patient come to us that has gone his whole life with this smile. He was born missing the lateral incisor and that front, dark looking tooth died when he was a kid after a playground accident. We took him from this:

To this:

As you can imagine, he was extremely excited about the results. Yeah, I love my job.

Nice case! The midline wasn't shifted any or was it? You just made more space for the lateral by making the canine less wide? I'm sure he is very happy.

No shifting of the midline. You got it right Joe. We just made the centrals and canines appear less wide to allow space for the latera.

Awesome!! I get to work with teeth in my job as well but I just remove them, premolars and canines mostly and most of my “patients” are ....well....you know, deceased! That's probably good though since I probably would cause a lot of pain. The only live "patients" I have worked on (bears) were heavily sedated. But none of my “patients” ended up looking that good, they just had stinking gumholes when I was finished.
